ALUMINAS

Alumina is a chemical compound that is widely found in nature and has a variety of industrial applications.

Calcined alumina is used above all to increase the viscosity of glasses, reducing their tendency to devitrify or lose the transparency of the glaze. It also increases its mechanical resistance and decreases the expansion coefficient, improving the opacity of the glaze.
