In 1893, Estanislao Herrán and Manual Diez founded one of the first companies in northern Spain dedicated to the extraction of soils and minerals for various industrial applications in Castro Urdiales.

HERRÁN Y DÍEZ was part of the Industrial Revolution of the early 20th century. Friends since college and work partners, they forged one of the longest-standing and prosperous companies in our country.

Today, Tierras Industriales HERRÁN Y DIEZ proudly stands as one of the 140 centennial companies in Spain, having upheld its continuous activity, consistently enhancing our processes and quality for over 130 years.
